30 Hour Famine…4th successful attempt!
I owe you guys a lot of updates!!
And to think that I’ve not been posting for only 1 week wei. Blogging is a quite a stress reliever, especially when the stress comes from thinking of all my pending posts -__- Ironic right. haha..! Wish we could do away with all these online stuff sometimes but ahh…that won’t happen for a long time.
Imagine if I don’t post for a month. I guarantee you 1000% I will go crazy.
So, first things first!
My laptop fan has died on me. I turned it on to find it extraordinarily silent one morning and I thought that the annoying rattling noise finally decided to go away. Turns out that the fan stopped completely and as a safety setting, shut off the whole pc.
So I sent it to the repair center at Midvalley, Northpoint. And I thought I’d get the touchpad checked as well, since it flipped upside down some time ago. Yes, if you move it left, the mouse pointer goes Right, and if you move it Up, the mouse goes Down. I tell you, it takes a LOT of brain power to adapt to a touchpad that works in reverse. So I asked to get that checked too.
My total bill? Came up to RM 426. Damn shit crazy expensive weeeeeiiiiii. The Labour cost is a bloody RM160! I send to Lowyat friend can get it fixed for 1 Hainan Coffee and Kaya Toast only la…!
But I finally decided to pay the RM426 la. I’d really hate the idea of an improper installation and anything failing if I go travelling with it. It’s a very bad idea to have your laptop fail on you while you’re in some isolated village in say, India.
My only consolation is that I sent it in early, before I continue happily using my ‘silent mode’ laptop and it goes on to fry something else, maybe the harddisk. That time ah, cost me $1000 to replace haha……
And the good news is it’s ready for collection tomorrow, oh joy!

Last weekend was the annual 30 Hour Famine that happened at Help College University (again), organized by Help Students & Lecturer (again), and emcee-d by Sucram (again).
The difference this time is, I was one of the official photographers for the event, along with EGo and Mae. I tell ya, this ‘Photographer’ tag allows me to go places man. Like a Passport that can enter 1000 countries.
Some quick pics! (No long story this time, quick update ma). Have to summarize kao kao lol.
Me & Psychkin were both volunteers this year and get a nice black shirt instead of the ugly white participant shirt. Muahha.
This is one of da best shots of the lion dance. But poor thing, only 1 lion solo show that day. I thought they normally came in pairs?
Mr Emcee in da houssssse!
Earthquake!! This game drove everyone into a frenzy!
This year’s game is probably the funnest one yet. It features a ‘black market business arena’ and a ‘jail’ for punishment. 200% hilarious.
With Leowazza and the 3 awesome good looking supporters of An Honest Mistake.
And they Rock!
Celebrity crazy kids LOL. See if you can find Belinda Chee and Gary Yap from 8TV Quickie.
The crowd at Bukit Jalil Stadium anxiously waits for the arrival of….
Jaclyn Victor!!
Mr Something from Somewhere who can sing. Ahaha.
Beautiful Gates rocking the house! (again from last year)
The stadium lighting was so super that I didn’t have to use flash. Damn shiok.
Suki from Somewhere, who could also sing.
Daniel Lee, and some of the Famine volunteers and campers who were happily pulled up to stage to sing Heal The World.
A quick search on Daniel revealed a picture of him dressed in some clothes that I wouldn’t wana be seen dead wearing it. Wah damn Gay ah. Haha. Some wardrobe executives out there are So unkind lol.
And the much awaited…..Guang Liang!!! (again from last year) He got off stage pretty quick though..didn’t sing the All Time Favorite ‘Tong Hua’
And the ‘Most-Participants Award’ goes to none other than…..HELP University. With 1000 participants! (Why did I see not-that-many that day leh??)
Last act and most anticipated act for the event…Ah Mei from Taiwan!
Besides her high-energy performance that drove the whole stadium, (and I mean the ENTIRE stadium was rocking with her, no joke), her efforts to reach out to the poor in India touched me inside. It’s very heart warming to see celebrities going out of their way to try to send a message to the world. It’s publicity, of course, but it’s positive.
If you ask me to go to India I’d probably say ‘Go for what? Got money ah??’ haha.
Buttttt…..I’m not all that bad geh. Psychkin and myself are proud child sponsors of a Little boy who is part of the Worldvision Child Sponsorship program. They even send us his ‘annual progress report’ periodically.
His name is Gornwarin Gaewloy, and we help to sponsor his school fees and schooling material. Pretty cool eh, for RM50 a month
Damn happy inside
Cute leh. Look like me or not?
Cheers!
